|06.12.2013 – Last year Hasbro teased a short trailer at SDCC 2012, that they have acquired the rights to produce construction sets based on Star Trek.
Most notably the 2009 blockbuster and the recent Star Trek Into Darkness both directed by J.J. Abrams.
The sets have been already out now in the Philippines, and they also included blind packs that had two series featuring some characters from the TV series. Star Trek Into Darkness was shown last month with the same anticipation just like the first one.
Bad Robot the same production company that J.J. Abrams represented just recently released a Kre-O Star Trek stop-motion short. The special effects piece was created by Kelvin Optical, one of the visual effects teams also working on STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS from Paramount Pictures.
This is the first time Kre-O produced something to promote another of their licensed sets aside from the much hyped Transformers. If you’ve seen the Star Trek films you’ll definitely like this one…
Kre-O Star Trek sets are available in the Philippines at Toy Kingdom, Toys R’ Us and other leading retail stores nationwide.
