LEGO® Certified Store | Shangri-La Opening Day

The Newest LEGO® Certified Store has finally opened, and it had a preview for special VIPs and a regular opening day that includes ribbon cutting and all that jazz whenever a new store opens having special discounts and promos for the first day, which it did happen and it is the first new store to be located in a prime location. Its previous certified stores are located in places general crowds do not often get lost into, and it was a breath of relevance that a new LCS would be located at a shopping centre that is accessible to everyone.

LEGO® Certified Store | Shangri-La Store Preview

In case you’ve been passing through Shangri-La Mall in Mandaluyong City you might happen to notice there is a ginormous signage that’s more than five levels up with a huge announcement that this shopping centre will have its very own LEGO® Certified store. The LEGO® Certified Store (LCS) is a shop that mainly carries exclusive sets not available at retail outlets, and there are some interesting things that make it more unique than the conventional store that carries the brand.

LEGO® Certified Store | Trinoma Sightings

There are five LEGO® Certified Stores in the Philippines in Metro Manila in five cities. The one in North Avenue in Trinoma Mall is one of the smallest, and accessible by taking the elevated MRT-3 Line, which will take you to the last station connecting to the said mall for those within the Quezon City area. It is located at the ground floor and you won’t miss it. Basically, it carries some of the exclusive sets and other LEGO® related items not found at the nearby retail stores.

TRU Greenbelt 5 | LEGO® Marvel & Disney Releases

The recent updates in local retail shows how the distribution has been disrupted with only select shops getting updates sparingly. But for Toys R’ Us in Greenblet 5, despite those challenges they still manage to bring in new sets to their store even though they only have one distributor for the brand. For those anticipating the summer blockbusters animation and live action films, there are also the tie-in merchandise and the licensed sets from Marvel and Disney Pixar just recently dropped at this particular store in a subtle way.

The summer season continue to heat up in the Philippines as the second quarter of 2022 begins and with that, a new wave of LEGO® sets have started pop up in local retail stores. 10.13.2020 – The Month of October brings something special for AFOLs who are looking forward to this this annual promotion whenever Toys R’ Us Exclusive that celebrate Bricktober through these four micro builds. Last year’s Bricktober 2019 four season sets were more of calm effect to putting together the exclusive theme. For this Bricktober 2020 is more of a Fun Fair experience that will surely is something to look forward to with the unique elements and parts that LEGO incorporated for each theme that each set is packed with interesting details!

06.05.2020 – The summer season is almost done in the Philippines but in other countries it might be winter or in North America, which is the start of the later mentioned season. With that new sets for the second quarter of 2020 at the same time the previous sets released early this year becomes special offers or sale in most countries. If you haven’t caught up with the recent ‘new arrivals’ they slowly start to appear on retail stores in Metro Manila. Outside of that there’s no news but you can inquire directly with Ban Kee Bricks for that.

06.03.2020 – It has been more than two months since all non-essential stores have closed which includes retail shops inside the shopping centres that does not provide essential goods. It was a struggle with the pandemic that led to everyone staying indoors due to the mandatory quarantine. Of course, the coronavirus still has no cure and yet the economy has been battered during the past months. But now the world is slowly easing back restrictions and retail shops like Toys R’ Us at Greenbelt 5 has opened since Monday.

LEGO® Disney Frozen 2 | Now on PH Retail

10.11.2019 – If you’re not in the loop with the upcoming Disney animate feature films the sequel to Frozen is set to hit Philippine cinemas on 20 November 2019 a day ahead from its Southeast Asian counterparts. But the LEGO® sets based from the animated feature films has been sighted. There are all six LEGO® sets featuring all the characters from the 2013 original hit that has been announced sometime in September 2019, and they are all sighted at major Philippine retail stores including LCS branches.

10.10.2019 – There are five LEGO® Certified Stores (LCS) in Metro Manila and all tailormade to the specific appearance of what they look like in other countries having their exclusive sets that are not available on retail as well as pick-a-brick and build-a-figure set up as their signature part of the store. Besides that they have their promos that are exclusive to this store. But in the Philippines some of this promo is storewide. The difference also is that all LCS branches are has some of the polybags unavailable at other retail stores.

10.06.2019 – If you hail from the south chances are you frequent some of the toy stores in Cebu City. There are for major toy stores in downtown and two of them are Toys R’ Us stores. Although they are hardly noticeable to the locals they sure have some interesting LEGO® sets from 2019. One store that has been sighted is the TRU store in Robinsons Galleria Cebu. It is one of the two new shopping centres in the heart of the CBD. The store is located at the second level of the mall that has fairy good section.

10.03.2019 – LEGO® in the Philippines has started to make Bricktober a tradition with Toys R’ Us in Southeast Asia. Being part of this celebration each year Toys R’ Us locations in the Philippines will have an exclusive set that is either a premium incentive for every purchase or a free build for kids. This depends on the store mechanics and distributor namely Ban Kee Bricks. But for 2019 it is an incentive for every ₱ 2,499.75 pesos ($48.46 USD | $71.59 AUD) you take home one of the four seasonal sets from spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
