C3 NBA Series 2 | Anthony Davis

12.01.2016 – The NBA (National Basketball Association) season is heading for the holiday month. It’s chugging along with great games and match ups if you’re into basketball certainly the merchandise that came with it is also a great treat.

With all that for those into construction toys and buildable figures you’ll probably have collected the ones that stood out. C3 Construction is one of Bridge Direct’s interesting lines that ties up with professional wrestling and now the NBA.

The Series 2 blind pack has good line up that include New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis! If you’re into anything NBA surely you’re probably into collecting buildable figures and C3 Construction have this line that get your hands on certain players of the game in their brick form. The sports line rarely get’s into collectible merchandise and most of them are exclusively available in North America, which means its not for sale outside of their region.

Mostly Bridge Direct’s only product that made it out of North America is the WWE line of construction toys and buildable figures that’s now on clearance. The NBA even though having presence in the Philippines with three certified stores not including their restaurant would carry this merchandise. But this also depends on the popularity of the product itself if there’s any fan interest.

The ‘Unibrow’ Era

Anthony Davis is a member of the New Orleans Pelicans and plays the power forward and center positions. Davis was selected first overall in the 2012 NBA draft by New Orleans, and is a three-time NBA All-Star. He also earned a gold medal playing with Team USA at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Davis played one season of college basketball for the University of Kentucky leading them to a National Championship and was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA tournament. He was drafted by New Orleans, and then known as the New Orleans Hornets. He’s also the face of the franchise leading scorer and making records in other statistics that includes block shots now on his fifth season.

C3 NBA Series 2

Part of the NBA line of buildable figures that are packaged in a blind pack there’s no code to finding out that you’re going to get. There are also construction sets that also include the buildable figures, but the blind packs are the ones you get to try and collect the NBA players that are included in the series.

Anthony Davis is included in the Series 2 pack in the Pelicans regular road uniform that have him holding the ball, which is alo the primary image of the blind pack in the front along with Russell Wesbrook (OKC Thunder), Black Griffin (LA Clippers), LeBron Jams (Cleveland Cavaliers), John Wall (Washington Wizards), Dwight Howard (then with Houston Rockets), and Dwayne Wade (then with Miami Heat).

Davis in Brick Form

The buildable figure has 12 points of articulation down to the details of Davis’ face, uniform and the basketball that’s removable from his hand. This is a nice incentive for the figure being able to ‘pass the ball’ to another NBA buildable figure.

In comparing to the other well known brands that used to have the NBA license to produce their version the C3 buildable figures is taller and have more details in the face that have slight likeness to the basketball athletes, but like all figures they’re not as talented as their real counterpart though this version of Davis still has his unibrow.

Overall even though without any buildable pieces included or a figure stand most blind packs have. Anthony Davis’ presence is enough for you to probably appreciate his talents playing for the New Orleans Pelicans besides having his unibrow features he’s the franchise of that NBA team.

Anthony Davis is part of the Series 2 C3 NBA blind pack buildable figures, which is not sold outside of North America which has a price point of $6.29 US dollars. This particular figure was acquired at K-Mart store in Guam.
