|08.18.2012 – LEGO City exhibit featured the latest themes from the 2012 toy line and one of the highlights for this display was the Friends series which is geared to promote the sets for young girls. It’s the most colourful part of the display which is the entire inhabitants of the Heartlake City.
There is a mix of new and old sets from the City theme but the central part of this is the Café Corner which is exclusively sold in exclusive shops.
These stores have Cafe Corner in Hobbes and Landes or Build City. It features also some of the mini figures that came from the blind packs. There are four skyscrapers that are strategically located in the center of the main diorama. The familiar sets released in the previous years are the Police and Fire Stations with the construction theme at the center of it all. Two Easter eggs can be seen high above the buildings either cleaning the windows or you just can’t find the missing Fire Fighter and his helicopter.
Newer sets also featured in this diorama like the Forest Police themes and the Hospital. The mining sets are now detailed with the cave. The Pizza corner one of the sets released previously is just a stone throw away from the Space Theme which features the Apollo-type rocket and across that is the Shuttle being prep up for the launch. Then there was that airport and the forest fire rescue team trying to stop a burning jungle.
If you haven’t visited the main central mall of the SM Mall of Asia then you’re missing a lot of these adventures right here…
