The Toy Kingdom Toy Expo returns after a very long hiatus, but its return certainly shows that this event is something to look forward to for the next iteration. The years of this event’s absences has been thought that it can no longer return. But here it is, ready for the next new toys as a “preview” for the holiday season in three months. In those 6 years of no Toy Expo, the LEGO brand has changed distribution hands with current importer Ban Kee Trading, making sure it continues to stick to the philosophy while staying competitive with other construction brands only available in the Southeast Asian Region.

Brickvention 2023 | Sights, Passion, & Creativity

Brickvention is one of the biggest and most anticipated LEGO® event in Australia, which gets foreign exhibitors and visitor around the world. The event has been consistently been hosted Royal Exhibition Building since its inception, and has become the premier fan event to make the visit whenever you’re in Australia. The event has started off with a gradual set up and display from exhibitors who came from various states in Australia as well as overseas visitors. Toys R’ Us Greenbelt 5 store is promoting the ‘Build the Thrills’ campaign, and one of the first stores to organize a Build & Play Challenge, which invites walk-in customers with their children to encourage them to create their best vehicle to race. The campaign also promotes the latest sets across the diverse LEGO® themes. This mini in-store event is a first for this storein a long time. Certainly, you’ll probably want to bring in your kids or a young relative to encourage them to build their vechicles for some neat prizes that are up for grabs.

The summer season continue to heat up in the Philippines as the second quarter of 2022 begins and with that, a new wave of LEGO® sets have started pop up in local retail stores. To this day, there have been several sets that inspired by NASA with its future concepts on space exploration, which had its most recent theme for 2019.

06.05.2020 – The summer season is almost done in the Philippines but in other countries it might be winter or in North America, which is the start of the later mentioned season. With that new sets for the second quarter of 2020 at the same time the previous sets released early this year becomes special offers or sale in most countries. If you haven’t caught up with the recent ‘new arrivals’ they slowly start to appear on retail stores in Metro Manila. Outside of that there’s no news but you can inquire directly with Ban Kee Bricks for that.

06.03.2020 – It has been more than two months since all non-essential stores have closed which includes retail shops inside the shopping centres that does not provide essential goods. It was a struggle with the pandemic that led to everyone staying indoors due to the mandatory quarantine. Of course, the coronavirus still has no cure and yet the economy has been battered during the past months. But now the world is slowly easing back restrictions and retail shops like Toys R’ Us at Greenbelt 5 has opened since Monday.

10.11.2019 – If you’re not in the loop with the upcoming Disney animate feature films the sequel to Frozen is set to hit Philippine cinemas on 20 November 2019 a day ahead from its Southeast Asian counterparts. But the LEGO® sets based from the animated feature films has been sighted. There are all six LEGO® sets featuring all the characters from the 2013 original hit that has been announced sometime in September 2019, and they are all sighted at major Philippine retail stores including LCS branches.

09.29.2019 – This past Saturday a mini LEGO in-store activity was held at Toy Kingdom at the SM Mall of Asia. Besides the excitement build-up to Nickelodeon Slime Fest that was happening on the same day, where Ban Kee Bricks had a special booth at the event there was a simple activity at Toy Kingdom. The LEGO activity was busy with walk-in families taking up the challenge. It wasn’t even advertised but if you’re just passing through and checking out the displays you’ll notice there was a mini-store activity.

PinoyLUG + Marvel | Marvelous Tribute Exhibit

08.27.2019 –Marvel is set to celebrate its 80th Year with a plethora or merchandise and a special exhibit that will launch a mobile game that will be represented by Danny Koo as its major guest along with Leinil Yu, the co-creator of the first Marvel Filipina Superhero that recently appeared during the War of the Realms Agents of Atlas series. Of course, aside from that news Marvel fans from local communities where invited to have their collections on display and Pinoy LUG (LEGO® Users Group) is representing the LEGO® brand side.

Fun Con 2019 | LEGO® City Experience

08.03.2019 – Opening day at Fun Con brings A LOT of first look at the LEGO brand presented by Ban Kee toys taking over from previous distributor since 2006. You get to see not only the promotion of the LEGO CITY theme as the forefront of the exhibit but also the exclusive sets that you can only find at a LEGO Store. This event launches three main sets that they have been promoting prior to the event namely the LEGO Idea Steamboat Willy, Creator Expert featuring the Apollo 11 lander module and a special LEGO set featuring Stranger Things.

PinoyLUG Meet-Up | Pre-Toy Con Ready

06.16.2019 – Another monthly gathering from one of the local LEGO® communities just happened Saturday with PinoyLUG preparing for the upcoming Philippine Toy Con, which has become one of the group’s annual events that they participated since 2015 and continues to be the biggest attraction they’ve set out to surprise everyone.
