| 07.31.2014 – By now you’ve seen the movie that has started showing in the Philippine cinemas, and very much excited getting your hands on the LEGO® sets that has is slowly appearing in stores. It’s definitely a good time to be a comic book fan of the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy. |
Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe having the series set in space like any science fiction based films this is not just your typically adventurers in the far off place in the galaxy. For those who’s been reading comic books these are not the original members of the Guardians, but a band of individuals who wants a second chance in making things right like saving the universe.
For those hardcore builders most notably into LEGO® there’s nothing like making stop-motion short clips featuring some familiar characters come alive. Sean Willets & Forrest Whaley did just that doing the stop-motion animation in recreating the TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy in LEGO®.
This was directed by Forrest Whaley who uploaded this clip on his channel forrestfire101 on YouTube. Of course Chris Pratt portraying Peter Quill/Star-Lord is a familiar voice behind the recently successful The LEGO®Movie as construction worker and would-be Master Builder named Emmet. So it’s like seeing another character that Chris Pratt portrayed turned into a LEGO® Minifigure, but with a more gritty tone that differentiate Peter Quill/Star-Lord from Emmet.
