LEGO® City Space Lands at Rustan's Makati!

06.01.2019 – If you’re into science fiction and space exploration chances are you grew up own one or two sets of the Classic LEGO® Space, which you won’t notice that is celebrating its 40th anniversary. But it has been a while since there was a space theme set that had an impact on the brand. But this year LEGO® is sort of brining back a space theme although this time it is part of the LEGO® City subline that also celebrating the 50th anniversary landing of Man to the Moon with the Mars Exploration that has arrived in Manila.

Late in the evening of Friday night at Rustan’s Department Store, one of Manila’s retail shops that carry the LEGO® brand is getting a new stock of the Mars Exploration themed set that is part of the LEGO® City.

It was just last late April 2019 that LEGO® revealed these sets ranging from a small exploration aircraft to the launch pad that carry two booster rockets and its main fuselage that is inspired from the Apollo V Rocket Boosters. Previously the Space subtheme introduced LEGO® City where not this extensive.





But these sets expand from the inspiration of real life space exploration, which coincides with the anniversary to celebrate Lunar Landing to the Moon. There have been interesting pieces and elements in this subtheme that certainly can be useful.

The LEGO® Movie 2 Minifigure Series 2

Better late than never as the new sets for 2019 slowly arrives on Philippine retail the TLM2 Minifigure Series 2 is now available at Rustan’s. So far there’s no other store carrying this and it’s understandable due to the change of local distributor early this year that they are still in transition.

Although the new blind packs have arrived it would depend on anyone’s preference when they get one or two as price point for one is really that costly. Not that the past releases are affordable, but for the general consumer this would consider pricey. But there will be interested collectors out there willing to shell out to get the ones they really need as this new series have some interesting characters too.
