| LEGO® introduced the Ninjago theme in 2011 and has become one of the brand’s flagship series, which produced an animated series, comic books, and even a movie back in 2017. It has become =ongest running original themed set since Bionicle back in 2001.
There have been rumours that the brand will reboot Ninjago, but that was not the case as some of the older sets were reintroduced under the Ninjago Legacy theme, and in 2013 it was confirmed to be not a reboot, but a new storyline with “Dragons Rising.” |
“Dragons Rising” adds a new chapter to the Ninjago series with new set builds with a prominent appearance of dragons as well as new mechs that some transform into their vehicles that is on display at the Shangri-La Mall’s main atrium the last two weeks.
The LEGO® sets have been frequently seen in local retail stores, and Ninjago continues to be a popular theme with new creations for kids and adults to get their hands on in building the world of Ninjago Island. The new sets can be found on display as well as a diorama featuring all the characters and sets of the past releases.
There are built table areas the kids can participate, and you need to sign them up. There are also special activities that let you win some exclusive polybag sets. The acrylic display features each of the latest “Dragons Rising” sets that is available for this year and you can take a closer look at the brick-built characters of Ninjago
Exclusive Only Soft Opening
At the same time, LEGO® Certified Store is set to open tomorrow (18 June 2023) for the public and held as a special “Invitation Only” preview and soft-opening of the store to a select few from the community with visitors from Denmark taking a look of what the new set up will be, which will be all revealed this Sunday.
The soft-opening was mentioned and you can see the uneven part of the store’s covering is no longer aligned as you can see in the images of the wall covering from a few weeks back. It won’t be long before all is revealed to the public as the opening will commence with a ribbon cutting early on the day with the guests from Denmark as well as the representative of Ban Kee will be present.
