10.02.2015 – G.I. Joe as a brand is celebrating fifty years since its first ‘action figure’ was introduced in 1965. For the following years it has evolved which mirrors what is actually happening in its succeeding era.
You’ve got military-related themes in the 1960s and in the early 1970s and then there was the Adventure Team in the mid-1970s, which tackle the environment at times, became weird and KRE-O has them too.
10.16.2014 – G.I. Joe has been Hasbro’s property since first introduced in 1964 with 12 inch figures represented four of the branches of the U.S. armed forces. But by the 1970s it features a different kind of military unit with the Adventure Team.
This line of action figures introduced the features such as "Kung-Fu Grip", "Life-Like Hair" and "Eagle Eyes". But when Hasbro & OxFord Toys team-up to bring this team in block form for their KRE-O G.I. Joe line they produced them as a rare special.
