The Fire Chief is ready to lead the emergency rescue efforts by putting together 34 pieces that includes parts and elements for the set number 300010, which is an off-road vehicle that appears in the product packaging to be assigned in the nearby docks whenever there is fire to be put out.
This set was released in select markets and was available in North America, but in the UK it was part of the autumn promotion for the Daily Mirror newspaper. The promotion was running from October 23rd to November 3rd. In the promotion run were this set was given for free along with the publication on 31 October 2010.
In case you haven’t seen this set available in your country the product description will give you an idea what the Fire Chief set is compose of:
The set consists of a small red and white fire vehicle with four white wheels and black tires. There is a yellow hose on the back side, two transparent blue lights, and on the other side is a steering wheel. The Fireman has a silver helmet, a smiling face, a black fireman suit, which has a walkie-talkie on the left and a fireman badge on the right, and plain black legs.
It’s a simple quick build that you put together the minifigure and the ATV that has large yellow water cannon at the rear of the off-road vehicle. The Fire Chief wears a silver helmet with no other accessories aside from the vehicle he comes with. This would be considered an emergency responder for the rural areas or one of the rescue units for the bushfire similar with the Fire ATV released in 2019.
Speaking of the Fire ATV set it a side-by side comparison would give you an idea how LEGO® improves on the off-road build as the newer set has only added five additional pieces and accessories than the Fire Chief ever had. You can find in the images how other mini sets fare well with the much older Fire Chief set.
Overall the Fire Chief stands out with his silver helmet and the smiling face to lead a team of emergency responders to put out the blaze in the most remote areas of a regional town or the most challenging bushfires like the most recent ones in the state of Australia or even in California in the USA.
LEGO® City 30010 Fire Chief was released in selected markets that was sold in the US for $2.99 USD (₱151.05 Philippine Pesos*) and also was part of the promo for the Daily Mirror newspaper, which was given away for FREE.
