Mattel Brickshop's Honda Civic Sighted

If the retail scene does not satisfy your craving to look for other construction brands aside from LEGO, sometimes the only option is to go to specialty shops that may have something that is not specifically widely available, which is far out of reach.

Greenhills is a local shopping centre in San Juan City that is popularly known for such things. With the MEGA brands' availability locally, in retail is not the most reliable source, with soaring prices that are originally priced properly in other countries.

It’s probably the other option for you to hunt down specific toys or construction toy brands like MEGA that have fallen by the wayside, because the local distributor doesn’t even have the extensive knowledge of the products they bring locally.

Recently, during such hunts to Greenhills, specifically in Shoppesville Plus, there was an unexpected sighting of MEGA’s popular themed sets. There’s not A LOT, but some notable things that were found at one of the local shops inside Shoppesville Plus that carry a few MEGA Brands products.

One of them is from the Masters of the Universe that featured a single Micro Figure of Beast Man, a popular Evil Warrior from that popular cartoon in the 80s, going for ₱ 500 pesos ($ 12.11 AUD | $ 8.51 US ), that’s been sitting in their glass display.

The second one was quite a unique surprise after a recent news leak about the upcoming release of Mattel Brickshop in the Philippines. This is also sighted at the same store, where there is a Honda Civic on their glass display front and center, which commands a higher price tag compared to the announced retail pricing of the same model that is set to be released locally.

Mattel Brickshop’s Honda Civic at this store was going for ₱ 3,500 pesos ($ 84.82 AUD | $ 59.60 US ), and it’s twice the cost of the one set to be sold in retail. But sometimes, the wait for the retail product looks better than pulling the trigger when you see it in person.

Other stores in Shoppesville Plus were worth checking out, but this one really was worth a second look in terms of some of the rare toys they had on display.

You can find both products being sold at the Game of Toys Collectibles in Shoppesville Plus. For further inquiries, you may follow them on their social media via Facebook!
